Corcubion, a land of calm and bravery

Corcubión's Twinning

Corcubión signed a twinning agreement in July 2017 with the Irish town of Ashbourne, located in County Meath, 20 kilometres from the centre of Dublin.

The Ashbourne Twinning Committee, set up at the end of 2015, made contact with villages with similar Celtic roots as them. After doing their research and meeting with the Spanish Embassy they decided to contact Corcubión to try to twin the two towns so that they could work together and develop activities that would be beneficial to both places.

The main reason that led them to contact Corcubión was to find a town with a culture, heritage and traditions with Celtic roots, in order to establish a relationship between the two peoples based on tourism, music, culture and enterprise.
